Hi, I’m Ashton.

Ashton Huffstetler is a dynamic artist known for her maximalist approach, incorporating vibrant pattern, color, and nature into her work. Inspired by botanicals, birds, insects, art history, and vintage fashion, nature remains a strong and recurring motif throughout her paintings. Her fanciful style features smooth layers of acrylic paint intricately applied to wood panels with small brushes, creating richly detailed works filled with personality and visual intrigue.

Très Chic, her latest body of work, celebrates femininity, self-discovery, and a sense of whimsy. “Illustrating what joy, confidence, and personal growth feel like as a female artist is a strong proponent in my work. My paintings are a daydreamy visual language,” says Huffstetler.

Surrounded by art education from an early age, Ashton attended the University of Montevallo, where she earned a BFA in Painting with a minor in Art History, followed by a Master’s in Art Education. After graduation, she taught high school art in Madison County for four years before transitioning to a full-time career as an artist in 2022.

Since then, Huffstetler has quickly established herself as a recognized emerging artist, earning more than 10 awards in professional art competitions and exhibitions and being featured in three magazines. She has collaborated with businesses and private collectors on commissioned works, including a nine-foot painting created for the Huntsville Hospital Orthopedic Spine Tower. In 2024, she was selected as the billboard artist for the Kentuck Festival of the Arts, where her painting Sea of Possibilities was featured across digital, print, and billboard advertising for the festival.

Today, Ashton continues to explore her love of nature, art history, and vintage fashion, infusing her work with vibrant energy, enchanting patterns, and a nostalgic touch. Her paintings bring color, character, and a sense of wonder to homes and businesses around the world.
